A rare bird indeed. The Nick Lucas Model was introduced in 1928 and followed the body styles of the Gibson small body acoustics of the time, although sporting a deeper body, until it finalized itself at 14 3/4′′ lower bout and a 4 5/8′′ at endpin. This later flat-top model is the epitome of the Nick Lucas evolution with a eye catching sunburst finish, fleur-de-lis peghead inlay, ebony board, maple back and sides and 14 frets clear of body.
